Maya is a kind young girl whose family owns the ice ridge in Brillia where hundreds of years later the Searchers find the Phoenix frozen (in the anime series). When she first approaches you, Fleria thinks she's going to try to kick you off the land, but it turns out she only wants help practicing to be a Breeder herself.
She eventually asks you to help her brother Taya learn to be a Breeder as well, and also comes to you for help when Gadamon uses her monster for target practice.
Not to be confused with the panther-like monster breed called Maya.
