Zanishi is a young battle card champion from the Eastern Continent who is sent to Bubalook by a wealthy nobleman (probably part of the Elders' Guild) to learn all he can about MCA and take the knowledge back to the East with him in hopes that battle cards will become more popular there. While in Bubalook, he and his fellow traveler Bursy are forbidden to enter the Champion's Cup.
